Sleep Well and Have a Good Morning Breakfast to Lose Weight
Sleep and Eat to burn fat!
Contrary to hearsay, pulling an all-nighter doesn't do your metabolism any good. Seven hours of sound sleep keeps hormonal levels in balance, which is essential for losing weight!
Don't skip breakfast or your body will try to conserve energy, resulting in less calories burned for the rest of the day.

Bob Harper, weight Loss expert
1.Drink a large glass of water before every meal
Just by drinking water, your body increases its burning of calories.
2. Eat Protein every meal
To feel satisfied and feeler for longer
3. Control your portions
4. Eat apple and berry every day
Low on calories and high in fibre, these fruits are also lower in cholesterol and help the body's blood-sugar control. Another Research indicates that phytochemicals in these fruits can also help balance the healthy bacteria in your gut, which can prevent weight gain.
5. No carbs after lunch
Even though you'll be craving potatoes, paste or bread for your evening meal. Carbs are forms of sugar, and sugar cues the pancreas to make more insulin, which in turn triggers appetite. The later in the day that you consume sugar, the more likely it is that you will get food cravings late at night, which are not a good thing. It is recommended to eat 'lean and green', the mix of proteins and fibre for dinner.
6. Avoid canned and processed food, and know your food labels .
7. Go to bed hungry
Denied fuel for more than five hours, your body will start burning its own fat and sugar. This means that if your dinner was at 8pm, you're burning fat by 1am. Further more, having fewer carbs in your blood stream allows your body to produce the hormones it needs to help sleep.
8. Make your own food and eat at least ten meals a week at home.
Allow portion control, cut down proccessed food.

Let's Keep Fit and Stay Slim - Breathing your abs flat
Breathing your abs flat
This is an exercise that is great for toxins out
of your lungs and flatten your abs.
Sit cross-legged, or on your heels, whichever is more comfortable, and relax your belly with your hands on your knees, with your shoulder back and spins straight.
Blow out through the mouth as you draw your abs in, imagine you're blowing out a candle that won't go out.
Don't think of inhaling. Just Kee blowing that candle out, pulling in abs in the each time, very quickly, one after another . Do one set of 30, followed by another set, slight faster.
Feel the burn.

Eating the right food at the right time will increase your energy, help you to manage your weight and ward off major illness. Study after study has demonstrate that people who lose as little as 4kg reap all these rewards.
The meals that follow come courtesy of an exclusive weight-loss plan from Reader's Digest. Derive from the latest research, these meals deliver specific nutrients to help you fight disease and shed pounds. Not weight conscious ? You can still benefit from this plan; just allow yourself more generous portions .
1. Protein Power
One good idea emerged from all the controversy surrounding high-protein diets : Researchers have found that eating a meal with plenty of protein leaves you feeling more satisfied for longer when compared to a meal loaded with the low quality protein, leading to a gradual increase of blood sugar. Believe in Protein Power.
2. Disease-fighting at Lunch

| Rainbow Salad with Tuna Sauce |
Many foods contain antioxidants, but fruits and vegetables may be the richest source. Behaving like chemical warriors. Antioxidants neutralize molecules known as free radicals before arteries and other cells can be harmed. This protect you from heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer and diabetes, which is why antioxidant foods figure so prominently in recent studies.
Forget pills : Antioxidants work best when consumed in foods. In fact, the National Cancer Institute has been recommending more fruits and vegetables for men - up to nine daily servings. A serving equals a piece of fruit, a half-cup of cut vegetables, a cup of lettuce, or a small glass of juice. The typical salad delivers two to three servings. This lunch dishes up at least four antioxidant-rich servings of vegetables.
3. Fat-Burning at Dinner
The mineral calcium is a powerful weight-loss star, and weight-loss plans can capitalize on it. Scientists stumbled on calcium's magic by accident. In a Tennessee study of blood pressure in obese African Americans, people who added two cups of yoghurt a days to their diet lost an average of 5 kg of body fat in 1 year, even though they didn't eat less. A follow-up study found that people on high-calcium diet, the equivalent of over three daily servings of dairy, lost more weight and fat than dud people on a low-calcium diet- and again, both groups ate the same calories.
Researchers believe calcium works by encouraging fat-cells to stop getting fatter. Instead, the cells burn extra fat without your having to go anywhere near the treadmill. This dinner features tofu; it's calcium-rich and it helps lower blood cholesterol . More fat burners : milk, yoghurt , cheese, canned fish, calcium-fortified juice.4. Mediterranean Snack
The traditional Mediterranean diet offers an abundance of fruits and vegetables, legumes, cheese, wine , and healthy fats from nuts, olives and olive oil. The fish and nuts provide filling, healthy protein; the produce delivers loads if antioxidants. Researchers studying thousands of Greek adults found that those who most closely ate a Mediterranean diet were least likely to die from heart disease and cancer .
5. Eat More, Lose Weight : High Fibre Food
Yes, you can and no, this isn't a scam. Just pick foods rich in fibre. High-fibre foods have what's officially called low-energy density ; that translates to few calories relative to weight, which means you can pile your plate high with these foods without fear of calorie overload.
Fibre also aids weight loss because it's filling. Most high-fibre foods take a lot of chewing, triggering your body's fullness sensors. Plus, you absorb the food more slowly so you feel full longer and are less susceptible to hunger-inducing quick rise and fall of blood sugar.
6. Hot Tomato
Here's a finding any man could love : Harvard scientists discovered that eating plenty of pizza seems to lower the risk of prostate cancer. The protective ingredient is tomato sauce or ,more specifically, the plant pigment lycopene in tomato sauce. The substance is most concentrated in cooked tomato products like sauce, ketchup and tomato soup ; cooking also makes it easier for the body to absorb.
Preliminary research on women suggests a diet rich in lycopene and tomato sauce may lower a woman's risk for breast and other cancer, as well as heart disease.More Lycopene-rich food:
Pink grapefruit; watermelon
7. Smart Food : Fish
Studies abound on the health benefits of eating fish : lower risk of stroke in men eating fish at least once a month; reduced risk of Alzheimer's among people eating fish at least once a week; and heart health from two weekly servings of fatty fish (salmon, tuna, sardines). Though there are concerns about mercury levels in fish, only a few are worrisome. Most people can safely eat a few servings a week.
More Good Fatty Fish Options : Trout, sea bass, bluefish, catfish

The Reverse Diabetes Diet
I just read a book on Diet that could reverse Diabetes by Dr. Neal Barnard, He shared the research study that Diabetes can be reversed by following his research findings, details as below.
‘Dr Neal Barnard is a brilliant visionary, one of the leading pioneers in educating the public about the healing power of diet and nutrition.’ – Dr Dean Omish
For the type 2 diabetes, our goals is to ‘clean the gum out of the locks’ . The fundamental problem in type 2 diabetes appears to be the accumulation of the tiny amounts of fat inside muscle cells. They make it hard for insulin to do its job by blocking what it called insulin signaling. Thai is, they interfere with the process by which insulin opens the cell membrane to allow glucose to enter. You need to select foods that reverse this process.
A diet revamp can also help protect your body from the disease process. That is crucial for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
The Diet Plan’s guidelines is a simple process, there are no limits on portions, calories or carbohydrates. Just focus on what you eat, so how much you eat generally takes care of itself.
To reverse the course of diabetes, ‘clean the gum out of the locks’. And allow the heart and blood vessels the best chances of reversing any existing blockages, there are there three guidelines.
1. Set aside animal products
2. Keep vegetable oils to the minimum
3. Favour foods with a low glycaemic index
There are two sources of fat in the diet : animal products and vegetable oils. This guideline tackles the first of these,
The Program omits meat, dairy products and eggs.
The Plan does have rules about carbohydrate. Select the right kind of Carbohydrate, quantity is not the primary concern.
What is GI ?
The Glycaemic Index (GI) is simply a number that indicates how rapidly any given food releases sugar into the bloodstream.

Let's Keep Fit and Stay Slim
Extract from “THESTAR” : Overweight, Obesity & Cancer
The followings are some of the extract from an article wrote by Dr Tee E Siong (dated Oct5,2008)
The World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) expert report on: Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity and the Prevention of Cancer, released in November 2007, presents the evidence for this link and provides detailed recommendations for the prevention of cancers.
The evidence linking overweight, obesity and cancer is now even stronger than it was in the mid-1990s. There is now convincing evidence that excess body fat increases the risk of the following cancers: colorectal (bowel), oesophagus, pancreas, kidney, endometrium (womb) and breast (in postmenopausal women). Being overweight or obese probably also increases the risk of gallbladder cancer. There is limited evidence suggesting that greater body fatness is a cause of liver cancer
WCRF recommendations:-
The recommendation of WCRF is therefore to be as lean as possible within the normal range of body weight.
As a guide, a healthy waist measurement is less than 80 cm (32 inches) for women and less than 90 cm (35 inches) for men. Remember that the measurement should be taken after breathing out!
Things to DO!!!
> Lead a more active life; sneak in some exercises in your daily routine.
> At work, do desk exercises or walk to your colleague’s work station instead of talking on the phone.
> Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator.
> Walk instead of driving for short distances.
> If you drive, park further away from your destination and walk.
> Wash your car yourself, clean your house briskly, do gardening/farming or mow your lawn.
> Exercise at least three times per week for 20-30 minutes each time.
> Go jogging, swimming, cycling or do brisk walking.
> Take up recreational sports.
> Play golf (minus the buggy).
> Eat less high-fat, high-calorie foods and snacks.
> Avoid overeating, nibbling and eating at irregular times.
> Keep an eye on portion sizes as controlling the amount you eat is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy weight.
> Avoid weight-loss diets that severely restrict calories and other nutrients.
> Trying to lose weight with self-induced vomiting and the use of laxatives or diuretics can be dangerous.
