What is Passion

Passion has its own energy-the energy that observable and transferable.

Passion is most evident when the mind, body and spirit work together to create, develop and articulate or make manifest our feelings, ideas and most sacred values.

Passion is a powerful litmus in determining the authenticity of an individual.

Many people run from personal and professional passion because they’re afraid of being burned. Pat relationship that ended in searing pain, trusts and confidence that were betrayed. Risk that lead to reprimand, grand visions that suffocated beneath the heavy pillows of nays sayers, souless logic and overzealous egos.

Consequently, they’re afraid of taking the risks that come with living life to its fullest. Most people have touched the fridges of true passion, if only for the briefest moments, at the most unexpected junctures in their lives.

They’ve inhale the aroma of chance and caressed themselves with rich lather of genuine affection.

Passion shapes our existence, fuels the fire of inspiration and makes the heart and mind open to changes all around us. It is the food for the soul, a spark that illuminates our purpose and mission for being here.

Eat That Frog

Management Effectiveness is about Execution, and Execution  is about getting things done.

So what needs to get done, must get done.

It sounds simple but sometimes we are stuck by just reluctant to do certain tasks as that may be have some implications or some tedious issues to be resolved..

First things first, is there another way to getting around it ? or else, one of the ways is to imagine the important task is like a frog, it keeps jumping at you. Since you must face it, sooner ot later, my suggestion is, just eat it, chew it, swallow it and get done with it...

Yes, just eat that frog, or else it is keep jumping at you.

Trying to Hinder Another’s Freedom Always Costs You Your Freedom.

When you know that you want something, and you notice you do not have it, you assume that there is something outside of yourself that is keeping it from you, but that is never true. The only thing that ever prevents you receiving something that you desire is that your habit of thought is different from your desire.

Learning English

Suku shared with me three hypothesis of learning English.
1. Naom Chonsky by Stephen Krashen, an american, put forward a hypothesis on learning English by Comprehensable Inputs.

2. Innateness Hypothesis
people learn langauge like fish swims in water, it is a innate nature

2, Habiaesthetic Hypothesis
it is a combination of Habit and Aesthetics, hence the effective way is to expose the learner to the language.

Some thoughts on Research

Research is seeking, investigation, and discovery.

Wisdom and Technical Support may be there, but it is a very personal journey of discovery and learning.

It involves experiementations, data analysis, surveys, simulations....
A common mistake is keep reading, thinking, learning, but never get started with the main game. When you start you may find that the real issues and difficulties are quite different from the abstract that you first difined.

Research involves thinking of questions, answering questions, communicating the findings, but not all the things are important all the time.

How to Get Started ?
. Talk, Share, Expose and Brainstorm
. Look to your leisure interest for Inspiration
. Draw an analog and method of analysis

Nutritional Value of Sweet Potato Leaves

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is now commonly found among population group that suffer diabetes and all its complications (hypertension, retinopathy, arteriosclerosis), as well as those who are smoking, with high chronic sunlight exposure, as well as nutritional deficiencies and imbalance.

Lutein has been identified as a dietary strategy that can delay the onset of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Major sources of lutein are green vegetables and marigold flower. However, available food sources of lutein contain little amount of lutein and consumption of large quantities of food would be required to meet the suggested daily requirement for lutein.

Researches have ranked sweet potato leaves second in lutein content after marigold flowers, and number one among edible vegetables. Sweet potato leaves may help in the fight against AMD.

Improve Your Health by Juicing

Tips to Improve Your Health by Juicing

When trying to incorporate raw foods into one’s diet, juicing is a very effective way to add in large amounts of different raw foods. Many people have a large build-up of mucoid plaque within the intestines because of poor diets. When this happens, the body is severely limited in its ability to absorb necessary nutrients from foods eaten. Juicing will encourage and improve this absorption; and juicing is a very easy way to accomplish this.

Vegetable juicing is preferable over fruit juicing because fruit juice often increases insulin levels. Carrot and beet juices are an exception to this, however, because these vegetables juice similarly to fruit juices.

Another advantage of vegetable juicing is that by juicing the vegetables instead of eating them normally, one can consume many more vegetables than would ordinarily be possible. It is possible to consume one pound of raw vegetables per fifty pounds of body weight when consumed by juicing.

Tips for Optimal Juicing:

- Mix the pulp back into the juice because it is very high in fiber. This fiber will help with elimination and helps promote beneficial bacteria levels within the colon.

- The best juice is fresh juice. The ideal situation is to drink vegetable juice immediately after juicing. If carefully stored, however, vegetable juice can be stored for up to 24 hours with only a moderate nutritional loss.

- To store vegetable juice, pour into a clean, glass jar (opaque if possible) and cover with an airtight lid. Avoid as much airspace as possible in the container because oxygen will oxidize the juice and diminish the nutritional content.

- When consuming stored vegetable juice, allow it to sit at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes prior to drinking.

Vegetables for Juicing:
- Celery, fennel, and cucumbers are an easy combination for beginning juicers.

Once this is tolerated easily, begin to experiment with the dark green, leafy vegetables. The best leafy vegetables to use are:

- Red Leaf Lettuce
– Green Leaf Lettuce
– Escarole Lettuce
– Romaine Lettuce
– Spinach
– Kale
– Cabbage
– Parsley
– Cilantro

Many people object to the taste of vegetable juicing. Often adding a few green grapes or an apple to a dark green, leafy vegetable juice can make it much more palatable.

Another important key to a successful juicing program is to rotate the vegetables juiced. Do not juice and consume the same vegetables day after day because often this will create food sensitivities and even allergies to these vegetables.

It is also very important to clean the juicer carefully after each use. If this is not done adequately, mold can begin to develop and will contaminate the juice. Swirling around a few drops of bleach in warm water after each use will prevent mold from developing.

Vegetable juice is devoid of both fat and protein. For this reason, it is beneficial to add essential oils and some protein supplement when juicing to make the juiced meal more balanced.

Four Beneficial Supplements to Add to Vegetable Juice:
- Fish Oil (provides omega 3 fatty acids)
– Flaxseed Oil (provides omega 3 fatty acids)
– Cod Liver Oil (provides vitamin D and vitamin A)
– Evening Primrose Oil (provides omega 6 fatty acids)

A beneficial fast is to consume nothing other than fresh, diluted fruit and vegetable juice for a few days. A juice fast is believed to be even more effective than a plain water fast because wastes are eliminated faster and new tissues can be built more easily because of the nutrients present in the juices. Also, with a plain water fast, there are more incidences of ill-effects and decreased energy than with a juice fast.

Juicing is a very effective and easy way to improve one’s immune system and one’s health in a safe and natural way.

Let's Be Creative, not just for Kids, Adults too

Try This Kids…Get Wild at Home!
By Artella

Try This, Kids…Get Wild at Home!

10 Ways to Cultivate Creativity: A WildChild Primer for Kids of All Ages

1. Color. Buy crayons and a coloring book, and purposefully, intentionally, color outside the lines. Scribble, break the crayons in half, smash them into the page. Write in the margins how it feels to break the rules.

2. Spend some time thinking about what you loved as a child. What colors, clothes, games, toys, activities, dreams do you enjoy? Which are currently in your life? Which have you not seen or enjoyed in years? Make a plan to rekindle some of your childhood loves in your daily life, today.

3. Create with your body. Take a break from the gym and work out at a local playground. Playing hopscotch, pumping legs on the swings and climbing jungle gyms aren't just for kids! Or try gardening or hiking to cultivate a kid-like connection with nature.

4. Draw your goal. Grab some crayons, markers or colored pencils. Imagine a goal that you'd like to meet, and draw a picture of what it will look like when you've reached this goal. Make it detailed, vivid and kid-like! This isn't about drawing skills- it's about representing a vision in a fun and uninhibited way. When you're done, hold it up proudly and say out loud, "I DID THIS!" Tape it to your refrigerator!

5. Make a set of "trading cards." Cut out images that you love from catalogs, magazines or greeting cards. Focus on images that make you feel full, alive and truly happy. Glue these images, collage-style, to an old deck of playing cards. This is a project you can work on a little bit at a time until you have a whole deck of cards that inspire you to dream big and live your fullest life! Don't forget to collage the outside of the pack!

6. Redecorate, kid-style. Walk through your living space and find areas- even small ones- that could use some Wild Child whimsy. Maybe a children's book belongs with the serious coffee table books. Maybe pipe-cleaner flowers belong in a vase on a kitchen shelf. Find corners where a little smile goes a long way.

7. Imagine new pictures. Find an image from a magazine and tear it out. Place it on a flat surface and turn it upside down. Try to find an image, activity or story in the lines and spaces of the upside-down image. If you're having trouble seeing anything, ask, "If I were a child, what might I see in this picture?" Doodle with markers and pens to expand on and illuminate your image. Add words, if you are drawn to do so.

8. Write your to-do list on poster boards taped to a wall. Write with markers, and with your non-dominant hand (or put the marker in your fist and make broad, childlike strokes). On one poster, write a list of things you need to DO. On the other, write a list of things you dream to BE. Move between the two, allowing a free-flowing relationship to develop between them. What do you learn about yourself and your priorities?

9. Find a board or card game from your childhood and change the rules. What if CLUE became a game about decorating rooms in Fun House style? What if Twister was a massive canvas for art? What if chess pieces were purple, pink and polka-dotted and the game was about cooperation instead of competition? If possible, alter the actual game board and pieces to celebrate your rebellion against the rules. If that's not possible, write about your new rules in a journal.

10. Go on a nature walk with child's eyes
. Challenge yourself to make each of your senses more open and aware, in the way that a child takes in the world. Gather interesting leaves, rocks or little flowers. Bring them home and arrange them to create your own little nature shrine.

Your can help stimulate your brain and keep your mind fresh by doing things with the opposite hand from what you usually use. For example, if you usually brush your teeth with your right hand, try using your left. While it may feel strange at first, it will create new challenges for your brain.

3. Play Games.
Exercising your brain can be fun and rewarding! Playing games helps to keep your brain stimulated. Whether you are playing computer games, board games, or the Wii bowling game, you are exercising your brain.

4. Get Mental. Doing things that challenge your thinking is a good way to exercising your brain. Make reading a regular habit, take a computer course, or sign up for a class covering a topic new to you. Whether it’s tai chi, yoga, country line dance, or Italian cooking, you are doing good things for your brain.

5. Travel. When you travel, you take in new images, sites, sounds and smells, and you get out of your regular routine. This is a great way to stimulate the brain and get those synapses firing.

Many of these mind exercises are things we already do without realizing the benefits involved. But it is important to make sure we do a variety of these brain exercises on a regular basis.

I Am Responsible

"I AM RESPONSIBLE."

I found this is a powerful pharse.

By taking responsibility, you stop justifying why things do not happend as per your expectation, you stop blaming others or making all excuses to make yourself feel good but the bottom line is you are not achieving the expected result.

By saying 'I am Responsible', you are looking for ways to make things possible, seeking for solutions and alternatives to overcome challenges. You do not wait for others as you know that you are THE ONE that is concern and hence you must take the lead and you are in-charge. That pharse give you Power as you now in the driver site. You determine the direction and you must take action.

Poblems encountered are challenges that test our values, our capabilities and our commitment towards whatever that we are pursuing. By saying "I AM RESPONSIBLE", and striving to solve the problems that shaped and lifted ourselves to the higher level.

Be Wealthy

The 7 Top Ways Millionaires Become Wealthy

There are 7 common factors to those who build net fortunes of one million dollars or more. In America, there has never been more personal wealth than there is today; yet most American’s are not wealthy. Amazingly, a mere 3.5% of our households own almost one-half of the wealth in the United States! Although we may be hard working, educated, moderate to high-income earners, why are so few of us affluent?
In studying the affluent, I found a pattern that the wealthy follow. It is more often the result of planning, hard work, perseverance, and self-discipline that determines who become wealthy. The factors compiled here are summarized from the research done by Thomas Stanley Ph.D. on over 1100 actual millionaires (many are multi-millionaires) in the U.S. today.

1) Live Well Below Your Means

Don’t be fooled. The ‘average’ millionaire doesn’t look like a millionaire! The key word here is frugal, frugal, and frugal. The typical person is America is a consumptionist. It’s in our blood. We work hard, make money, and spend it well. Not the typical millionaire! They play great defense (saving and investing) as well as offense (making money). Just like in football – great offense is exciting…but great defense wins games. An interesting note: Millionaires on average claimed their spouses were as frugal or more than they were. It’s a family affair: Sacrifice high consumption today, for financial freedom tomorrow.

2) Spend Your Time, Energy, and Money in Ways that Build Wealth.

Although the road to Millionaire’s Ville takes a frugal path, they pay well for training and advice. Do investment planning. Go to seminars. Hire good attorneys, tax accountants, mentors and coaches. Learn to identify and invest in assets that produce income. The wealthy spend money when the investment will protect and grow their assets. Millionaires also know the details: How much is spent each month and on food, clothing, and shelter. The non-wealthy say they don’t have time to plan, while the wealthy make time to plan. But here’s the shocker: The average millionaire spends 8.5 hours per month planning, while the non-affluent spend 4.5 hours or less planning. How can 4 more hours per week impact your future? Make it happen and the odds are in your favor of joining the truly wealthy!

3) Choose Financial Independence over Displaying High Social Status

The wealthy run highly efficient operations both in business and at home. Most live in average neighborhoods, and drive average cars. They’re not interested in keeping up with the Jones’ – because the Jones’ aren’t financially free. It takes lots of energy to consume big mortgages, change homes every few years, buy the most recent model cars, and wear the latest fashions. The wealthy drive typically American made cars! Japanese cars come in 2nd place; half of these are Toyota Camrys. Yes, significant value per dollar is the key here. The Millionaire’s Motto: You aren’t what you drive. The status cars – Lexus, BMW’s, Mercedes? At 6.4% or less per each brand.

4) Don’t Accept Economic Support from Your Parents once Outside the Home

Sounds painful doesn’t it? It’s a fact that has taught the wealthy how to earn, keep, and invest money. Parents of the wealthy do not, or cannot, provide “economic outpatient care”. The results are clear: The more dollars the adult children receive, the fewer they accumulate. Those who are given less are motivated to accumulate more on their own merits. An amazing fact: 80% of millionaires are first generation millionaires; they have made their money on their own, in their lifetime. Many of these folks have been immigrants to the U.S., starting out with minimal cash on hand. Work hard to learn and generate wealth—it CAN be done, and happens in America every day.

5) Teach your children to be economically self-sufficient to foster a “Wealth Mind-Set”

Provide your children fish and they will eat for a day. Teach them to fish and they will eat for a lifetime. As you might guess, children who grew up to be affluent, who had affluent parents, were taught to be disciplined and intentional with their money. Robert Kyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, didn’t cave in when his son asked for a car at 16 years old, even when the neighbor kids were being given cars by their parents. He gave his son $3000, and a subscription to the Wall Street Journal, and a few books on investing in the stock market. Now Rich Dad’s son watches more CNN than MTV. He has the motivation, and is getting an education that will provide him for a lifetime, well beyond his first car purchase.

6) Become Proficient in Targeting Market Opportunities

Find your niche, like the wealthy do. Follow where the money flows, and look for specialized opportunities. Why not target the wealthy themselves? Yes, they are frugal, especially first generation self-made wealthy. BUT…they spend openly on investing in themselves and their families. Investment advice and services, business training, software, tax advice, legal, medical, dental, health, real estate, and education are top priorities. They pay well for products and services that protect and grow their assets. Remember the majority of the wealthy are self-employed entrepreneurs. Followed by medical professionals and business executives.

7) Choose the Right Occupation

You now have a good idea of what the affluent do. 20% are retirees. Of the remaining 80%, most of these are self-made businessmen and women. Keep in mind that entrepreneurs are 4 times more likely to become millionaires than those who work for others. There is no one business, or group of business more likely to breed millionaire-hood. Some are lecturers, others medical professionals, farmers, small manufacturers, and corner mom and pop stores. The most important predictor is the characteristics of the owner, than the type of business. It’s the winning combination of skills and attitude that hit’s the wealth target.
NOTE: The affluent attribute being honest with all people as the most important characteristic in their businesses, tied with being well disciplined. The vast majority of the wealthy were not stellar students, or born into money. They have made it through following a few simple principles and being consistent.

“the CERTAIN WAY to Life’s Richness”

Meaning of Work as a base for Abundant organization

People are meaning-making machines who find inherent value in making sense out of life.

The meaning we make of experience determines its impact on us, and can turn disaster into opportunity, loss into hope, failure into new turning point, boredom into reflection.

The meaning we create can make life feel rich and full regardless of our external circumstances or give us the courage to change our external circumstances.
When we find meaning in our work, we find meaning in our lfie.

In addition to inherent value, meaning has market value. Meaningful work solves real problems, contributes real benefits, and thus add real value to customers and investors. Employees who find meaning in their work are more satisfied, more engaged, more passionately and creatively. They learn and adapt. They are more connected to customer needs. Leaders invest in making not only because it is noble but also because it is profitable. Making sense can also make cents.

An abundant organization is a work setting in which individuals coordinate their aspirations and actions to create meaning for themselves, values for stakeholders, and hope for humanity at large. An abundant organization is one that has enough and to spare of the things that matter most : creativity, hope, resilience, determination, resourcefulness, and leadership.

Abundant organizations are profitable organizations, but rather than focusing only on assumptions also focus on opportunity and synergy.
Abundant orgnisations concentrate on bringing order, integrity, and purpose out of chaos and disintegration.

Research confirms when employees find meaning at work, they care enough about it to develop their competence; they work harder, more productive and more positive about their work experience.

When employee competence, commitment and sense of contribution, customers generally respond in kind. In turn, customer commitment leads to better financial results for the company.

Dust Off & Step Back into Life

Their Stories
Elsa, in her seventies, told me that the best advise she had ever received was from her daughter who said: “ Mom, you just have to dust off and get back up.”
It is not that they had had fewer disappointments than others, but that they refused to allow the setbacks to defeat them.
Perhaps what often determines our happiness in life is the step we take after a setback. There will always be setbacks, and these set back often require us to risk again.
To love after we have been lost or hurt. To try even we have failed after we have failed and rejected.
Dust off and step back into life.

The Five Secrets you must know before you die
By John Izzo Ph.D
